Grafted by Grace
by Patrice Watley-Williams
A group of men grafted by grace
Linked together to spread God's
Love and tender embrace.
Playing and singing songs of rejoice
Music with a mission and a voice by choice.
Believing that God is to be honored, respected
Praised and celebrated.
Since they can't be all over the world
Hopefully their message will, through
One boy, one girl
One day at a time.
It's not by chance that they have connected.
They are the chosen few that were selected
And by His grace we will never forget
How they've already touched so many souls
In their ministry of music and testimonials.
They are prepared mentally and physically with no fear.
Outstanding they are, commanding your attention
They are united and truly still standing
Doing work!
The Name “Grafted by Grace”
What’s in a name?
Scripture shows us the importance of names and their meanings. God changed the names of people to show how He was going to use them or work through them. The name, Grafted by Grace, is taken from the horticultural or “green industry”.
Grafting is a technique whereby the tissues of one tree or plant are fused together with another, to grow as one. This technique can be used to repair disease, injury or create a new fruit bearing or flowering tree or plant. The result is a change in form, character and fruit bearing quality.
In Romans, Paul uses an example of an olive tree and engrafted branches to illustrate the point that we (the wild branches), are grafted into the olive tree (the family of God), as believers, and in turn get our nurishment from the olive root (Jesus Christ).
"And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree," - Romans 11:17
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit;" - John 15:5
