WHY WE BELIEVE

>  2 Timothy 3:16-17, “16All Scripture is inspired (breathed) by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

>  The Great Commission goes out to every believer.  Matthew 28:18-20 is clear.  We EACH are given a mission field and the power to go and spread the Gospel to those in that field.  This is not an option for a Child of God!  And, we take this seriously!

>  In this ministry, we are joining forces and using the talents and gifts that the Lord has given us to simply obey this commandment.  (Above our personal witness to people God puts in our paths every day!) We are instructed in 1 Timothy 4“14Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you…” and all through both 1 and 2 Timothy to not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!  But, use the gifts that the Lord provides for us as instruments to spread that Gospel!  In the Gospel of Luke, chapter 12, Jesus speaks to us!  We are to stay alert, and always serving, as He did, always seeking to tell others about His Coming again, so that they, too, can be saved! “37Blessed are those slaved that the Master shall find on the alert when He comes!” … “40You, too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.!”

>  I Timothy 1: 5-7 says, “5But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith 6For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, 7wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.”  This is why we come!

>  In the Gospel of John, chapters 4 and 5, Jesus explains that He is not independent of the Father!  He and the Father are one!  And, the Father is the Spirit, as well!  Wow!  And, Jesus promised us, in John 16:5-15, that, though He will no longer be walking with us, physically, on the earth, He gives us, as believers, at the time of salvation, the very Spirit of God!

>  So, we, as believers are given the very Spirit of God to power us through the race!  And, the Spirit equips us with His own gifts as He sanctifies us daily in our Walk with Christ.  That’s quite a gift!  And, Jesus says, “…And from everyone who has been given much shall much be required” (Luke 12:48b).

>  But, the reason we come, is because we have been given a grace, a precious gift!  The gift of forgiveness!  The gift of Heaven!  The gift of unconditional Love from a Holy God; a Heavenly Father!  And, we desire to, and are commanded to, share that gift with the world!  1 Timothy 2:3-6 says, “3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.  5For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 6Who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time.”
